Lutheran Social Services (LSS)
LSS, a charity that serves the homeless in our Community Conscience building in Thousand Oaks (address below), is in desperate need of food and other items. They do serve people from Agoura Hills also. Please see the list below of needed items.
Each day homeless and families in severe poverty come to get food. There is not enough. Restaurants who used to donate excess food are unable to do so at this time. Lutheran Social Services needs lunches and can handle enough to feed about 30-40 people a day.
All drop-offs should be scheduled with Nathan. He can be contacted by phone at 805-497-6207 ext. 1064, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. In terms of hours for donations, drop-offs can be scheduled Monday through Wednesday as well as Friday. Afternoons are better, between the hours of 1:30-3:30pm. Donations are to be dropped off at the rear entrance to practice social distancing.
This is a terrific opportunity to help the vulnerable people in our community if you are able.
